The cost

Pricing that starts with you.

Most people rule out live-in treatment before they ask what it costs. What you pay is based on your recovery needs and your circumstances. We work it out with you.

What is included

What a day is built from.

Abstinence-based, grounded in the Twelve Step model, and highly structured. There is zero tolerance for drugs or alcohol in our care, and we say so up front.

A doctor in your corner+

Addictions physicians visit each house every week, and you see a doctor within 7 days of arriving. They clear every medication you take, including opiate replacement therapy, and staff hand them out.

Who we are

Real people. Real recovery.

Snapshots of InnerVisions staff and friends from the early years

From our early years

We are real people who have ourselves recovered from the horrors and loneliness of addiction.

We offer a way out in a safe and structured centre, with a rigorous program that every one of us follows.

Where it started

In 1988, two people found a way out of the hell they were separately living. Recovery gave Billy and Kim a second chance at life, and it led them to each other. Clean and in love, they dreamed of helping others do the same, and began InnerVisions in half of a duplex in Coquitlam.

Every person who has come through the doors has been given a chance, so long as they were willing to ask for one.

“There is a way out of the loneliness and degradation of addiction. You can overcome the disease of addiction.”

Billy and Kim, founders

A nationally recognized non-profit recovery society

Licensed and accredited residential treatment program

Finalist for excellence in preventing and treating substance abuse, Donner Foundation

Senior staff recognized by the Canadian Counsellors Certification Federation

An in-house training program, so people who complete treatment can learn to work in a residential setting

Questions

Straight answers.

Do I have to be detoxed before I come?+

Not always. Our intake team talks it through with our addictions physicians and decides based on your health, how you use and your age. If you do need detox first, we can arrange it so you go straight from detox into the program.

Can I stay on my medication?+

Every prescription and over-the-counter medication is cleared through our addictions physician and handed out by staff. Opiate replacement therapies are permitted.

Who can refer me?+

You can, and that is how most people start. Intake is self-referral, so we need to talk to you directly. Doctors, employee assistance workers, family and friends can point you our way, but the commitment has to be yours.

Can my family reach me?+

Not for the first 35 days. Letters are encouraged. After that you can make and take calls at set times and plan visits.

What if I have court coming up?+

We generally do not take people with pending court dates. Talk to intake. Depending on the situation, they can sometimes set your intake for after your court appearances.

Who is eligible?+

You need to be 19 or older, have alcohol or drug use as your main issue, be cleared by our doctor on withdrawal and medications, and be able to take part in a group residential program.
